If you have a beloved pooch, you know that one of the more expensive things you can buy is toys. However, just like our other children, every dog needs their toys to play with. The downside is, you may go spend a few dollars on a single toy and it only last them a day or two. So, you may spend much more on several toys at once, so that Fido can play for a week at a time. Are you tired of spending? Did you know that many people are making their own dog toys and you can as well?
For the Love of K9 Friends
It is important that you have toys around for your pet. It can prevent boredom and, in most cases, give them something to chew on. Since every dog has the ability to rip certain toys apart, do you like wasting money? Many owners say that they do not. Instead, they prefer to make their own dog toys. These toys can be made in a variety of very unique and creative ways. You can use a variety of material for them as well.
The Toys You Will Create
You can take an old tee-shirt and rip it apart, then braid the strands together to create a rope toy for your dog. You can even put an empty soda bottle in it to give them the “crunch” noise that many dogs love. An old sock can become a knot toy for them. If you have a tennis ball, you can cut a tiny slit in it and stuff it full of their favorite treats. As they play, they will get little snacks and make the game much more fun. You can also use PVC pipes to do the same thing, just put end caps to make it a challenge. Give your pooch something he can tear up with a cereal box and treats. Simply tape the box closed and watch the adventure begin. Pupsciles, ropes, and more can all become things that you create for your best friend and none of it will cost you anything beyond time.
People also create other things for their pet. They may use acrylic casting resin to create dog tags, water bowls, and more. It is safe to use on anything pet-related as long as it has cured for a few days before giving it to your pet.
